Safe to instal cell towers in city: Ex-WHO official
MUMBAI: Radiation specialist and former WHO official Michael Repacholi, who was in the city on Monday to take stock of a few cell tower sites, claims that it is "absolutely safe" to instal mobile towers atop schools, colleges and hospitals in the metropolis.
He emphasized that "the radio frequency (RF) exposure from mobile towers neither causes cancer nor has any kind of adverse effect on children above two years of age".
