EMF Danger: Basic Cellular Mechanisms, Calcium Efflux & Nitric Oxide




In this video I explain some of the basic mechanisms behind how artificial sources of man-made electromagnetic frequencies (EMF) are capable of exerting significant damage to human cells. Although not extensive, it covers the most well characterized mechanisms in the current research. EMFs trigger voltage-gated calcium channels, resulting in an efflux of calcium into the cells. Excess calcium possesses many destructive qualities, with one being to increase the synthesis of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide-induced peroxynitrite cascades utterly decimate the nervous system, leading to membrane damage, inflammation, and ultimately cell death.
