In August
2011, a letter was written by a woman in California to her utility company, San
Diego Gas & Electricity (SDG &E), expressing her concerns about the
health problems she had been experiencing since the installation of a smart
meter in her home.
The day
the meter was installed, she woke in the night with ringing in her ears,
dizziness, tingling at the upper part of her head that turned into a headache
and then nausea. There was also a horrible feeling of uneasiness that she had
never experienced before and that prevents her from going back to sleep at
night - every night.
She is
calling for the immediate removal of the smart meter.
One of her dogs awoke at the same time, wandering the hallways whining and crying (a quite common response that dogs make apparently after the installation of a smart meter). This dog refuses to sleep inside at night now, as the pulsed radiation also makes him sick. This dog had slept at the foot of her bed since the day she brought him home until the night the smart meter was installed. He also now suffers from arthritis, which is a symptom reported by people after smart meters are installed.
She was gone for two weeks on two occasions over the summer, and she slept fine whenever she was away from her home. She was in Peru for two weeks without these problems and also in Alaska, where she had no trouble sleeping, no trouble concentrating, no dizziness, no ringing in her ears, no tingling at the upper part of her head that turned into headaches.
She has also noticed a strange humming and buzzing in my home around the appliances, and from the computer. The three people who came out to see her from the utility company all heard the humming and buzzing.
She is calling for the immediate removal of the smart meter.
Other people in different parts of America have demanded that the smart meters be replaced with analogue ones hard wired to their land lines. In some areas the electric companies are willing to do this, but are not telling the general public they are capable of doing this. In the area of California that the person above was in, the utility company refused to install any other option.
Dr. Bill Deagle MD is suing SDG & E and the California Public Utilities Commission and asking the public to join him in a class action.
