Girl Scouts Teach Senior Citizens How to Use Smartphones Despite Exposure Warnings from American Academy of Pediatrics, WHO, and Other Experts

If smartphones operated via magic this would be a really cute story.  Unfortunately they don’t.  All wireless devices and infrastructure emits harmful Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) which is also sometimes referred to as Electrosmog.  Cell phone and WiFi radiation are sources of Electrosmog too.
Experts continue to warn about exposure causing all kinds of health issues – not just increased cancer risk.  We’re all vulnerable; however, research has proven that children are particularly vulnerable.  The American Academy of Pediatrics has been issuing warnings for many years.  These devices weren’t originally designed for kids and there is still no “safe” level of wireless radiation that has been scientifically determined for them or pregnant women.
Of course, senior citizens using smartphones probably isn’t great for their health either for a variety of reasons including how blue light from screens can cause macular degeneration and blindness.  Plus screen addiction affects all ages, robo calls are annoying, and smartphones can be hacked and private information can be stolen. Smartphones also have been known to catch fire and explode.  Does any of this seem like a good thing for grandma and grandpa?
This week, the Arlington, Virginia-based scouts hosted “TechBridge,” their first walk-in clinic to help local senior citizens learn how to use their cellphones.
“Some had specific questions, but a lot of people came and just wanted to learn,” Maura Sammis, a Girl Scout Cadette who helped some attendees with Apple Pay, said. “I set that up for a couple people and they were really excited about that.”
Fellow troop member Sarah Middleton said the clinic helped 10 people with “a very broad spectrum” of tech support and training topics.
[…]It has to be something that helps your community,” Cadette Tara Udani explained. “And so for us, that was teaching elderly in our community how to use their technology better.”
It’s not a bad idea to own a cellphone. They can be life savers especially in emergency situations.  Other than that, there are too many valid reasons for all of us to limit our use and exposure to smartphones and all other sources of Electrosmog including wireless hearing aids.
Can you hear me now?  Good.

Could your Wireless Technology be Contributing to your Anxiety?

By: Dr. Magda Havas
Does this happen to you?

You pick up your cell phone and find that you are breathing more quickly and your heart is pounding even though you at sitting down.  Your stomach feels queasy and your palms begin to sweat.  You may feel a bit dizzy or faint.  The longer you use your cell phone the warmer it becomes.  Your hand holding the phone begins to tingle.  You develop a metallic taste in your mouth and a mild headache.  Sometimes you feel a phantom ring/vibration in your pocket but the cell phone isn’t there.  Even though you picked up your cell phone you forget who you were going to call.  Your short-term memory is getting worse.  At school you feel as though a fog has enveloped your brain and you can’t think clearly.  Increasingly, when you talk you can’t recall certain words and focusing on an assignment is increasingly difficult.  You are irritable and anxious and can’t seem to sit still.  At night you have trouble falling asleep and sometimes you wake-up for no apparent reason and just toss and turn.  You visit the bathroom frequently and occasionally get nose bleeds.  You wake up tired.  You feel a lot older than you are and wonder what is wrong with you.  It seems your get-up-and-go, got-up-and-went.

You take your cell phone everywhere, indeed you can’t leave home without it.  You sleep with it under your pillow and use it to connect with friends.  Your laptop computer and tablet are just an arm’s length away and you browse on the internet using Wi-Fi at home and at school.  You download videos and music and send photos to friends.  You check your cell phone every few minutes to make certain you are not missing any news from your friends.  The time you misplaced your cell phone, you went into a panic and couldn’t leave home until you found it.  Your cell phone is your life-line to the world.

If you have some of the symptoms mentioned above you may be allergic to your cell phone and the other wireless technology around you.  Few people realize this but exposure to radio frequency radiation (RFR) emitted by mobile phones, Wi-Fi routers, wireless baby monitors, smart meters, and certain wireless games can cause anxiety.  This type of radiation increases stress proteins in your body and puts the autonomic nervous system (ANS) into sympathetic mode.  What this means is that your body goes into a “flight or fight” response physiologically.  You can’t seem to relax and feel agitated most of the time.

These symptoms refer to a condition called, “electro-hyper-sensitivity” or EHS for short.  This means that the radio frequency radiation emitted by your cell phone and other wireless technology is irritating your body.

So what can do you?

Try a digital detox.  Try going for a few hours without using any wireless technology.  Turn your Wi-Fi router and all your wireless technology off at night so you can get a good night’s sleep and put your cell phone into airplane mode so no one can call you and disturb your sleep.  Go for a walk in nature and become aware of things around you.  Breathe deeply and slowly and allow your body to relax.  Just breathing slowly for 1 minute can do you a lot of good and take the edge off your anxiety.  Do this several times a day.

However, for long-term benefits a longer digital detox is required.  Start with a few hours and build it up to a day and then a weekend.  Whenever you feel like checking your email, drink a glass of water instead and sip is slowly.  Challenge your friends so see how long they can go without using their cell phone and share your results with us!

Here Are ‘Most’ And ‘Least’ Radiation Emitting Smartphones In 2019

Smartphone addiction is real and is slowly turning into an unhealthy obsession that is messing the minds of people. While we consider lengthy exposure to screens as a major issue, we often fail to neglect other harmful effects that smartphones can have on our health. The radiofrequency waves emitted by phones can even cause cancerous tumors, according to cancer.org.

Every smartphone comes with a Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)value that quantifies the amount of radiofrequency waves emitted from a smartphone. Higher the SAR value, more are the chances of users getting exposed to the harmful radiation. You can usually find SAR value of your device at its official website or in the user manual.

But if you are looking forward to purchasing a smartphone in 2019 that emits the least amount of radiation, here is a list you can refer to. The list has been compiled by German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt fur Strahlenschutz) and published by Statista.com.

Samsung Note 8owners are least prone to radiations and out of the 16 enlisted smartphones, eight are from Samsung.

Now, don’t you want to know the smartphones which emit the highest amount of radiation? Here, is the list you need to see.

Xiaomi Mi A1is the smartphone emitting maximum levels of radiations. As evident from the list above, popular Chinese smartphone maker companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus come with the most harmful effects.

Sadly, I own a OnePlus 5T which is second in this list and if you don’t see any more posts from me, you can blame it on OnePlus for it.
