NEWS ALERT!
THEY HEAR EHT NOW
This is a significant announcement to all supporters of
Environmental Health Trust. They are listening! We are very excited to
bring you news to three important developments in the last few weeks.
We know you will want to see how much impact your support is having.
June 15FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski requests that his fellow Commissioners revisit the rules that determine radiation exposure levels in cellphones. Three of the five commissioners have to approve his request before the FCC formally begins discussing ways to address growing evidence on cellphone radiation and health. |

August 2Congress announces "H.R.6358 - To examine, label, and communicate adverse human biological effects associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields from cell phones and other wireless devices, and for other purposes." This is a bill that would require labeling on cell phones and a fundamentally new approach to safety and testing--ideas that EHT Chairman Herberman, Dr Davis, Lloyd Morgan and other EHT senior staff have been urging for years! |
August 3The Washington Post publishes "Cellphone-safety advocate hopes Congress forces the FCC to update its regulations." The article says, in part, "As soon as next week, Congress is expected to say that a year-long investigation by the Government Accountability Office has found the Federal Communications Commission's cellphone-safety regulations are woefully out of date. Congress may also urge the agency, whose radiation-limit rules are 15 years old, to take a fresh look at how children in particular may be affected by radio waves." Read the entire article. |
As you can see, all this is happening fast and EHT has been at the
forefront of the efforts that have resulted in the issues of cell phone
radiation finally getting the attention here in the US that counties
around the world have already started talking seriously about. Our work
is based on science and our commitment is to safety. And now, more
than ever, we need your help. You can see that our work is bearing
fruit but the fight is just starting. We've got people listening and
now we've got to get them talking. And then we have to get them to act.
Please help us by making a donation today that will allow us to expand
our reach to the citizens of our great country and expand our
cutting-edge research on the infant and toddler brain response to
cellphone radiation--a topic on which the American Academy of Pediatrics
shares our deep concern. It's fast and easy and you can do it online
at environmentalhealthtrust.org and click the Donate button on the right side of the page or click here.
100% of the money we raise goes directly to fund research, outreach
and education and as a registered 501(c)(3) your donation is fully tax
deductible. Whether your donation is large or small, we thank you for
the bottom of our hearts because we truly can't do this without you. We
don't get grants or have giant foundations to fund us. We just have
you. So please help us today. In the coming weeks we'll keep you
informed as the issue of cell phone radiation is brought to light around
the US. Thank you so much for supporting Environmental Health Trust!
