Al Gore Refuses to Be Interviewed About Cell Phones Effects on the Environment & Health

Al Gore Refuses to Be Interviewed About Cell Phones Effects on the Environment & Health

Dear Kristen,

Would it be possible for Mr. Gore to respond to my questions at his own convenience through a video?

I tried to look up information on Current TV about the recent World Health Organization announcement about cell phones being a possible carcinogen and was unable to find any thing about it. Although, I did find videos such as "The iPhone is Here!"

The one video I did find on Current TV about the possible negative effects from cell phones was called "Cellular Sperm." The video is no longer available and was pulled from the site. It says as it's description: "Men might want to reconsider their relationship with their cell phone according to some recent research, as their reproductive health may be affected."

I'm curious to know why there appears to be a lack of coverage about this important and recent debate on Mr. Gore's liberal-leaning cable network? Yet there are tons of video commercials on Current's site suggesting 12-year-olds should use cell phones. This is especially concerning considering as it goes against the scientific evidence that children absorb much more radiation from cell phones than adults. For more information about the science check out our website.

If Mr. Gore, refuses to be speak on this subject matter or at least comment in an email we will have to say in the film that he refused to be interviewed, possibly because he is on Apple's Board of Directors.

Best regards,

Kevin Kunze

Hi Kevin,

Thanks again for reaching out.  Because Mr. Gore is focusing his efforts on a new book project, we are not adding anything to his schedule at this time.  I do apologize that we can not make it work.

Best wishes with your documentary.

Sincerely,

Dear Kristen,

Would it be possible for Mr. Gore to respond to my questions at his own convenience through a video? Perhaps he could speak on the environmental impact of cellphones, since their manufacturing, operation and disposal implicate a growing concern for environmentalists (see attached).

We would be happy to email you the questions that we want to ask him. We would also work around his schedule and would be able to meet with him anywhere in the country.

We sincerely hope he will grant us an interview. It should take 10-15 minutes of his time. We greatly appreciate all the work your group does, and hope that you will support for this important cause of global concern.

Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Kevin Kunze
