Chelation Therapy May Increase One's Risk of Mold -- and Other Opportunis tic -- Infections . Mineral Re-supplem entation Necessary Afterwards !
I would also like to add that chelation therapy -- while excellent for removing toxic heavy metals from the body -- might also very well contribute to problems with mold/fungus (and other opportunistic infections) due to the fact that it also removes magnesium and other essential minerals from the body: Due to the fact, as I stated in the previous message, that Magnesium acts as a Voltage Gated Calcium Channel Blocker and the lack of it in one's body might very well be contributing to calcium influx into the cell and in turn leading to a chain reaction that inhibits cellular immunity.
"Low magnesium levels in the blood (hypomagnesemia): EDTA can bind with magnesium and increase the amount of magnesium that is flushed out in the urine. This might cause magnesium levels to drop too low, especially in people who have low levels to begin with. If you have this problem, don’t use EDTA."
