EHS - MONTANA COMMUNITY NOW FORMING

Some of you may have heard of the future town of Oakwood before; I may have posted briefly on the subject before,

A few telephone collectors and I are planning to start a town in rural Montana in a few years. While the main focus is on the old telephone switches and vintage phones that will populate the town, it will be 1950s-themed, and so there will be a local ordinance banning all wireless except police radio, and so it will also function as sanctuary for anyone needing shelter. It will basically be turning the clock back 60 or 70 years in many respects.

More information about this future town is available here:

Occasionally I've heard of other proposed or planned sanctuaries - in California and Arizona, for instance. Like the people planning those, we are also looking for those interested in funding, planning, and collaborating on this project. At this time, we have mostly vintage telephone collectors working on this project, but we'd like to get EMF activists and people are who are electrohypersensitive involved as well.

Currently, we have an idea about where approximately we are going to build the town, a list of properties and land to purchase, as well as a mailing address, website and phone number for the project. Oakwood is being sponsored by the Mountain Pacific Telephone Company; more details on the page linked above. Actual work is slated to start in 2021 but there is lots of planning to be done in the meantime.
There are more details we know of also already that we will post to the planning list at some point

We have 2 mailing lists:
- 1 for if you are simply interested in staying updated on the project (public announcements) - low volume, absolutely anyone and everyone welcome here

- 1 for if you are interested in actively discussing and collaborating on ideas and other planning work for the town of Oakwood (closed list, private discussion) - high volume

Please consider joining one or both of the lists if the project interests you. We'd like to make Oakwood the ultimate EMF sanctuary.

Links to join the planning lists are available here: http://interlinked.cf/contact#lists

At this time, I've been told the form/buttons don't work, so simply click the direct links for the Oakwood lists.
If you have questions, feel free to check out the link above with more details or email me at wirelessaction [at] interlinked.cf

Feel free to pass this along to other parties whom you believe may be interested.

Naveen,  Oakwood Planning Commission
