Mobile Phones and Wi-Fi Cause Plants Not to Grow

Often times, when shutting down the cell phone, or closing the laptop you feel this silent sense of relief, don’t you? What is that? We have all heard about the low level electromagnetic frequency waves emitted by cell phones and wi-fi, and many of us admit these waves can be felt, but what are they doing to us? Some 9th graders in Denmark wanted to know, and set up their science project to find out. The results have astonished even scientists. Apparently, plant seeds, when set near mobile phone-strength wi-fi modems stunt the growth, which has caused quite a stir.
It all started with a query, the Denmark teens had noticed, when sleeping with their cell phones near the head at night, they had jumbled concentration during the day. Pretty observant on its own. But when the opportunity came to design a science project for school arose, five girls got together and created a very interesting scenario. What happens to plants around this type of radiation? They wanted to know.
First off, the girls put together six trays of garden cress seeds (Lepidium sativum) and placed the trays in a room with no wi-fi, no cell phones. Then, they created six more trays, this time storing the potential plants in a room with two wi-fi routers, emitting about the same level of radiation as a cell phone.
Over a 12 day period the girls watered the seeds the same, observed, measured and photographed the happenings to be documented for their science project. The results are baffling. The garden cress seeds put in the room with the routers had not grown where the others, far away from the radiation had sprouted normally, even thrived. Some of the seeds next to the wi-fi were even dead. What are the implications?
These girls not only received praise at a regional science competition but great interest from the scientific community, especially from a neuroscience professor at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, who is interested in repeating this experiment in a controlled environment numerous times.
How personally ought we to take this information?
The WHO estimated, in 2011, that there were five billion mobile phone subscriptions globally, now increase that over the past couple of years. During this same time, warnings on the potential for cell phones to contribute to brain cancer were published. Christopher Wild, director of the IARC, said: “Given the potential consequences for public health of this classification and findings it is important that additional research be conducted into the long term, heavy use of mobile phones. Pending the availability of such information, it is important to take pragmatic measures to reduce exposure such as hands free devices or texting.”
We have seen several reports now implying high cell phone use as well as regular wi-fi exposure could be damaging, especially to those with a more sensitive system, including children, the elderly and pregnant women. Precautions are recommended, such as antioxidantsupplementation and radiation guards for the home or office. There are many different types of radiation guards available today ranging from small ‘bio-synch‘ devices to radiation-proof fabricand special crystals such as malachite and black tourmaline (which can be placed near your laptop).
On telecommunications CEO in Belgium opted to keep wi-fi and cellphone use completely off his floor:
Mr. Bellens… runs Belgacom, the largest telecommunications company in Belgium. His concern is such that not only has he chosen to do without WiFi on the 27th floor of Belgacom where his office is situated, he also chooses to do without a cell phone; only taking calls on the office’s land line.
When experimentation starts to show the effects of mobile phones and wi-fi radiation as causing live plants not to grow, there has to be a peak in awareness for our human forms. It doesn’t hurt to take precautions in order to protect the body and the energy field surrounding the body, so susceptible to energetic influence. Who knows, maybe the true advancement in technology will be moving past these EMF waves … the future can tell. Until then, think clear, guard well and turn your cell phone off at night.
