160 STUDIES SHOWING ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION HARM TO BE DELIVERED TO BC PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER

- WHEN: 12:00 Noon, Wednesday May 9th.

- WHERE: At the Offices of Dr. Perry Kendall, Provincial Health Officer, and 1515 

Blanshard Street, Victoria, BC.

- WHAT: Supporters of StopSmartMeters.ca will deliver more than 160 studies and articles to the offices of Dr. Perry Kendall, the Provincial Health Officer for BC that show that electromagnetic radiation such as that emitted from a smart meter is harmful to human 

health.

Before delivery of the documents, there will be statements by Steve Satow, Dr. Martin Blank and Walt McGinnis.

- WHY: In January 2012, Steve Satow, from StopSmartMeters.ca, delivered two documents to Dr. Kendall which gave evidence to support an immediate halt to the installation of smart meters due to health concerns. Dr. Kendall chose to dismiss those documents as irrelevant.

These 160 studies show that there is evidence that EMR is harmful.

The additional documents to be delivered on May 9th, related specifically to research into the biological effects of exposure to Electromagnetic Radiation at the levels emitted by Smart Meters, offer compelling evidence that EMR is harmful at these levels and that our Health Officer, BC Hydro and the BC Government need to be applying the precautionary Principle and imposing a moratorium while these issues can be properly researched and resolved.
